ASHA: Stop lying that the CCC is optional.

Here are all the ways it is required:

The CCC is required to bill Medicaid in Idaho, Nevada, Minnesota, Nebraska, Kansas, New Mexico, Michigan, Kentucky, West Virginia, North Carolina, and Washington DC.The CCC is required to get a license to practice as an SLP in the state of Nevada.The CCC is required to get a license to practice as an SLP if you're not working in the schools in the state of Virginia.Many employers falsely believe that the CCC is required to practice as an SLP and therefore require the CCC.Supervisors are required to pay for the CCC in case the student eventually wants to pay for the CCC (for the above reasons).

While they were attempting to clarify that the board should require at minimum a masters degree in SLP, the language takes it even further and recommends that the board use the CCC as their standard for licensing
